SBC kicked off a project with Port Macquarie Hastings Council for the development of Council’s long-term sustainable energy plan

Sustainable Business Consulting 100% Renewables site inspections Port Macquarie Council 2016Barbara Albert and Patrick Denvir from Sustainable Business Consulting have just returned to Sydney after kicking off a project with Port Macquarie Hastings Council for the development of a long-term sustainable energy plan.

They met with council’s project manager and several key organisational stakeholders across council’s most important assets and divisions. Patrick and Barbara were also given the opportunity to visit a couple of sites to get a feel for the scale of the biggest energy consuming assets in the LGA and to see first-hand the energy efficiency and renewable energy measures that Council had already implemented.

The picture shows some of Council’s existing solar PV installations, as well as a couple of water and sewer sites.

Council is looking for a  review of their current energy situation, advice on the suitability, benefits and costs of utilising Council’s existing assets to generate renewable energy and a long-term energy strategy with consideration for the future financial sustainability of Council.

Sustainable Business Consulting has been selected as Port Macquarie Hastings Council’s partner in the delivery of this long-term renewable energy plan.

SBC and it’s sister company 100% Renewables are experts in developing renewable energy plans and specialise in helping their clients achieve 100% renewable energy. Previous projects include work for Lismore and Coffs Harbour Councils.
